Terms of Service
Last updated November 1, 2026
These terms apply when you request a translation from Attesta Translation ("Attesta", "we", "us") through attestatranslation.com, by email or by WhatsApp. By sending us documents or paying for an order, you agree to them.
What we do
We translate documents from Portuguese, Spanish and French into English, and Italian into English when we confirm it before you pay. Each translation comes with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy stating that the translator is competent in both languages and that the translation is complete and accurate. This is the kind of certification described in 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) for documents filed with USCIS.
What we do not do
- We are not a law firm. We do not give legal or immigration advice and cannot tell you which documents your case needs. Ask your attorney or accredited representative.
- We are not approved by USCIS. USCIS does not approve or certify translators or translation companies. We do not claim otherwise.
- We do not decide outcomes. We cannot promise that any agency, court, school or employer will accept a translation or how your case will turn out.
- Our translations are certified, not sworn. A certified translation for a U.S. filing is different from a sworn translation (tradução juramentada, traduction assermentée, traducción jurada) made by a translator appointed in another country. Tell us before you order if you need a sworn translation. We will say whether we can help.
Your responsibilities
- Send complete, readable copies of every page, including the back of any page that has writing, stamps or notes. Tell us if something is unclear in the original.
- Send only documents you have the right to send. Do not send forged or altered documents. We may refuse or stop any order that appears to involve one.
- Review the finished translation, especially names, dates, numbers and places, before you file it. Tell us right away about anything that looks wrong.
- If a name appears in the original in a different spelling than in your other records (for example on a passport), tell us. We translate what the document says and keep names as written.
How the translation is prepared
We translate everything on the page, including stamps and notes in the margins. Names, brand names and codes stay as they appear in the original. Signatures, stamps, seals, logos and QR codes that cannot be translated are described in brackets, for example [Signature] or [Stamp: Name / Title]. Where a document contains Brazilian Reais (BRL), we show an approximate U.S. Dollar figure next to each amount. The BRL figure stays primary, and the USD figure is for convenience only. We aim for the translated pages to look like the original: same layout, same order of information. Some fonts or decorative elements may differ.
Prices, pages and payment
The price is shown on our site before you order: $15.00 per page, and $12.50 per page for orders of more than 10 pages. A page is up to 250 words. We count the pages and confirm the total with you before you pay. Rush service, notarization and a mailed printed copy are available on request at the price we quote you. We start work when payment is received. Prices are in U.S. Dollars.
Turnaround
Standard orders are delivered in about 2 business days after payment, and rush orders in about 24 hours, when your documents are readable and complete. These are estimates, not guarantees. Large orders, poor-quality scans and unclear handwriting can take longer, and we will tell you if so.
Delivery and signature
We deliver a PDF containing the translation, the Certificate of Translation Accuracy and a copy of your original, by email unless we agree otherwise.
Corrections, refunds and our guarantee
- If we made an error in the translation, we correct it and reissue the certificate at no charge.
- If USCIS rejects a filing or issues a Request for Evidence because of our translation, we correct the translation and reissue the certificate at no charge.
- If we have not started your order, you can cancel and we will refund what you paid. If we cannot translate your documents, for example because they are unreadable, we will tell you and refund you.
- Once we have started, we do not refund for reasons unrelated to our work, such as a change in your case or a document you no longer need.
- Changes you ask for that are not corrections (for example a different spelling you prefer, or extra pages) may be charged.
Limits of our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including delays, fees, lost opportunities or decisions made by an agency. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Confidentiality and privacy
We treat your documents as confidential and use them only to prepare your translation and communicate with you. How we handle your information, and when we delete it, is described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
You keep all rights in your original documents. Once you have paid, you may use the finished translation for your own filings. The Attesta name, seal and website belong to us. Please do not copy the seal or certificate format to certify work we did not do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located in California have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
